MLA takes stock of public grievances

DODA, Aug 25: In order to have first hand appraisal of the problems and demands of the people, MLA Doda Shakti Raj Parihar conducted an extensive tour of panchayat Ugad.
The people of village Aal highlighted various problems being faced by them and put forth demands pertaining to better road connectivity, improvement of basic amenities like drinking water supply, additional transformers and health centres etc.
The MLA gave patient hearing to the demands of the public and assured that their genuine demands would be looked into and taken up with the concerned quarters.
Shakti Raj informed the public that under PMGSY phase-II Rs 4.60 crore has been sanctioned for the road to village Aal. He also said that to improve healthcare facilities for the people a health sub-centre has been established in the area.
Responding to the demand of the people to augment power supply in the area, MLA instructed the concerned authorities to do the needful on priority. He also directed the PHE Department to ensure regular water supply.
Other issues including shortage of staff in Government institutions and non-availability of ration in CAPD stores were also putforth by the people. The MLA issued onspot directions to the concerned officers to redress these issues at an earliest.
