MLA kick-starts blacktopping of Jaganoo to Talmara road

JAMMU, June 12: Fulfilling a long pending demand of residents of Darsoo Gudar area, MLA Udhampur kick-started blacktopping of two kilometer long Jaganoo to Talmara road after 60 years, with an estimated cost of Rs 70 lakhs.
The MLA, accompanied by AEE. PWD Arun Gupta, was highly appreciated by the locals, who were facing a lot of problems due to extremely poor condition of the road. They hoped that with the blacktopping of the road, a new chapter of development will begin.
Speaking on the occasion, MLA Pawan Gupta assured residents of the area that all their legitimate demands would be fulfilled in a phased manner. He assured sustained equitable development both in urban and rural areas of Udhampur constituency. He divulged that various developmental works are in progress in all over the constituency and he is committed to provide basic amenities to the people. He also stated that the work on Jaganoo main road will be started very soon.
Others, who were present on this occasion, included Raj Kumar Buccha, Rohit Sethi, Sushil Singh, Charan Dass, Suram Chand, Sardari Lal, Shanker Dass, Vijay Kumar, Hem Raj, Kalso Devi and Vimlo Devi and dozens of local residents and political activists of the area.
