JAMMU, Jan 8: The dead body of a missing man was recovered today from Ranbir Canal in Domana area of city outskirts.
Some people today spotted a male body in Ranbir Canal near Karan Palace and informed the police, which reached the spot and shifted the body to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu for postmortem.
Later, the deceased was identified as Madan Lal Sharma (55) son of Dwarka Nath Sharma, resident of Nagbani, whose missing complaint was registered by his family members at police station Domana on December 29, 2018.
In this connection, Domana police has initiated inquest proceedings under 174 CrPC.
