JAMMU, Feb 19: The dead body of a mentally unstable man, who went missing this morning from Sarwal area, was recovered today from Nagbani area of city outskirts.
According to a police spokesman, the dead body of an unknown elderly man was spotted this afternoon in a mini-canal in Rakh area of Nagbani by some villagers, who informed the police.
He said on getting information police reached the spot and shifted the body to mortuary room of Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu for identification and post mortem.
“Later, the deceased was identified as Inder Krishan (66) son of Kashi Nath Matoo, resident of House No 46 Sector A/2, Laxipuram (Chinore), who went missing from Sarwal area this morning ”, the spokesman said, adding, Domana police has initiated inquest proceedings in the case.
