Azad to address Cong convention on Feb 16

JAMMU, Feb 6: Former J&K Chief Minister and Leader of Opposition in Rajya Sabha, Ghulam Nabi Azad will address a large Congress rally in Jammu on February 16.
Addressing a meeting of senior leaders of PCC including members of PCC from all over Jammu province PCC president, GA Mir asked the party cadre to expose the false hood of BJP and particularly the Modi Govt in view of coming elections. He also asked the senior party functionaries to take stock of the preparations for the forthcoming Lok Sabha and Assembly elections in the State and chalk out party programmes.
PCC chief apprised the leaders of the upcoming progrmmes of the party, especially the scheduled programe of Booth level workers convention of Jammu province, near Sainik Colony at Jammu on February 16, to be addressed by LOP in Rajya Sabha, Ghulam Nabi Azad.
He called upon the leaders and activists to invite and ensure all booth level workers to attend the convention/ big rally to educate the party workers about the various achievements of the party in the country and in the state during UPA-I and UPA-II, in order to counter the false propaganda of BJP on various fronts.
Mir said that Congress has the credit of bringing the nation to the present levels of progress and prosperity on all fronts. The massive development including most of the infrastructure building in the state in all three regions is the achievement of Congress during all these years. He asked the party cadres to be fully prepared for the future electoral exercises and further strengthen the grass root units at booth levels.
Former Minister Raman Bhalla apprised about the proposed venue of the Provincial workers convention to be held at a spacious site opposite Sainik Colony on National Highway.
