It is indeed a welcome decision taken by the Supreme Court regarding the minority status for non-Muslims in J&K. The Centre must take its decision within three months and should grant minority status to the non-Muslim subjects of J&K. From the past several years, Jammu and Leh people have suffered a lot in terms of development and getting a Govt job in J&K. If the welfare schemes are meant for the minorities, then the minorities in J&K should be the beneficiaries . Why the Central Govt cannot see this? It is time the Central Government grants minority status to non-Muslim population of J&K state which is certainly need for the hour.
