RAMBAN, Oct 22: A minor girl was raped by two persons in Pernote area, falling under the jurisdiction of Ramban Police Station.
As per police sources, a minor girl aged around 13 years went to fields to attend nature call at Pernote last night. In the meantime, two persons allegedly abducted her and took her to fields in Pernote, where they raped her for whole night.
In the morning, the girl managed to escape from the spot and reached home, where she narrated the ordeal to her family members.
The family members of the girl lodged a complaint with Police Station Ramban alleging that Bittu Ram, son of Kaka Ram and Subah, son of Sandal Singh, both residents of Pernote raped the girl.
Acting swiftly, a case under FIR number 145/14 under Section 376 RPC was registered at Ramban Police Station and investigation started.
The girl was restored to family members after conducting medical examination at District Hospital Ramban and manhunt has been launched to nab the accused.
