POONCH, Apr 23: The dead body of a 5-year-old girl was recovered from a nallah near Betar village in district Poonch today.
A man carrying sand from the nallah on horses, noticed the dead body of the little girl lying in the water at around 10 am and informed police. Later, SHO Poonch Sanjiv Slathia along with some cops reached there and shifted the body to hospital for postmortem.
The deceased was later identified as Damini, daughter of Dushyant Kumar, resident of Old Poonch. The girl was missing since last evening and the family was looking for her. The police has started investigation into the case.
