JAMMU, Jan 31: Rehari police today rescued a kidnapped minor girl and arrested the kidnapper from holy town Katra.
As per police sources, father of girl hailing from New Plot lodged a complaint with police post Rehari that Jugal, son of Baldev Raj, a resident of Katra kidnapped her minor daughter.
Acting on the complaint, a case under FIR number 19/2015 under Section 363 RPC got registered at Rehari police post and investigation started.
On specific inputs, police team conducted a raid at Katra and rescued the girl and also arrested the accused.
The girl was handed over to family members after conducting medical examination.
Police team led by Incharge police post Rehari SI Rattan Singh made the arrest under the supervision of DySP City Perbeet Singh, SP City Shiv Kumar Singh Chouhan and SSP Jammu Uttam Chand.
