SUNDERBANI, Dec 7: A 17-year-old girl was today killed while going to her school in Sunderbani area of district Rajouri.
A police spokesman said that the girl identified as Anu Sharma, daughter of Jia Lal, resident of Hathal and student of class 12th of Govt Higher Secondary School, Devak was going to her school. On the way, she collapsed on the ground. The other students earlier removed her to school which was nearby from the spot.
With the help of school staff and other girl students, she was further shifted to Sunderbani hospital, where doctors declared her as dead. The doctors believed that she died of heart attack. The body was later handed over to the family members.
The school work was suspended for the day after entire staff and students came to know about the unfortunate death of the young student. Later they all went to her village to join her last rites.
