RAJOURI, Dec 26: A minor deaf and dumb girl was charred to death at her residence under mysterious circumstances here this evening.
Official sources said that 7-year-old Moufia, daughter of Akhtar Ahmed, resident of Ward No. 4 Rajouri was alone at home and her mother had gone to a nearby house. The girl was sitting near room heater. Her clothes caught fire and she sustained serious burn injuries. She was rushed to District hospital at around 5.50 pm where doctors declared her as brought dead. The police has taken cognizance of the matter.
