Minister assured adjustment of left-out Masters in 3-4 days: JKTF

JAMMU, Nov 14: A delegation of Jammu Kashmir Teachers Forum led by A Q Wani, chairman and Ganesh Khajuria, State general secretary, called on Education Minister, Sayeed Altaf Ahmad Bukhari at Civil Secretary, Jammu, and strongly advocated the case of left-out promoted Masters of February 2014 batch and convinced the Minister to adjust all the left-out Masters at the shortest possible time.
The Minister issued instructions to the concerned authorities to expedite the process and issue the orders of adjustment of all the left-out Masters within next 3-4 days.
The Education Minister also promised to hold the DPC for the promotion of Masters/
Teachers as Lecturers in all the streams, including Science subjects in favour of all those who have acquired their PG degrees from the UGC recognized Universities. The Minister assured the delegation to -mitigate all the just and genuine demands and redress all the grievances of teaching community with an open mind.
Later, the delegation, led by Ganesh Khajuria, met Haseeb Drabu, Finance Minister and submitted him a memorandum for removal of pay anomaly of Master Grade from the pre-revised Grade 6500-10500 to 7450-11500. The Finance Minister issued on the spot directions to the Director Codes (Finance) for the redressal of the same and convey the recommendations to the Chairman Pay Anomaly Committee.
The delegation also met the Secretary Education in his office chamber at Civil Secretariat, Jammu, in the presence of S Ravinder Singh, Director School Education, Jammu, and discussed some vital issues and problems being faced by the teaching community of Jammu Province.
Those who accompanied the delegation, included Gopal Singh, Surat Singh Toofani, Ravinder Singh, Susheel Sharma, Kuldeep Verma, Mrignayni, Subash Chander and others.
