Later Raina arranged a Government ambulance to shift the dead body of migrant to his native village Larnoo, Kokernag for burial. This gesture however was highly acclaimed the migrants.
The protesting migrants however blamed the Government for the death saying had it not forced them to come to streets in this scorching heat the poor fellow would have not met an early end of his life.
Meanwhile, a delegation of protesting migrants also called on Minister of Relief , Rehabilitation and Disaster Management Javed Mustafa Mir and submitted a memorandum to him demanding immediate revocation of attachment order of the DC Relief. They alleged that the order was issued on flimsy grounds as the concerned officer was not at fault and has not committed any mistake.
They said the notice which was issued by DC was based on the minutes of meeting held in the organization which was attended by migrant leaders of various organizations from camp and non camp areas, besides the MLC, G L Raina. They said keeping in view the role of the officer, instead of encouraging him the Government has punished him despite the fact that he was not at fault.
The Minister assured the delegation that their feelings will be considered after the report of the Enquiry Committee appointed in this regard is received by him.
