JAMMU, May 15: The Department of Information Technology, MIET, Kot Bhalwal, organised a guest lecture on the topic “Computer Security and Maintenance”.
Er Neeraj Dubey, Asstt Prof from Computer Science and Engineering Department, Government College of Engineering and Technology, Jammu was the invited guest. He spoke candidly on various aspects related to computer system security like passwords, cryptography, enabling/ disabling ports etc. and also gave an overview of various system maintenance techniques used for efficient operation of computers.
He motivated the students to use the discussed security features to avoid any unauthorized access to their systems.
The lecture was attended by the students of 4th and 6th semesters.
Earlier, Head of the Department, Dhrub Kumar presented the welcome address, whereas in the end, Anil Gupta, Senior Asstt Prof IT delivered vote of thanks.
