MHA’s fresh advisory on Kashmiri students

NEW DELHI, Mar 8:  Stepping in following incidents of violence against Kashmiris in Uttar Pradesh, Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh today directed the Chief Ministers of all States to ensure the security of the Kashmiri students.
Rajnath Singh also asked the BJP workers to stand in support of Kashmiri students facing violence in many States.
In a message on the micro blogging site, he said, “Kashmiris are also ours and it is the responsibility of BJP workers to stand in their support if somebody harasses them.”
The Home Minister tweet came a day after the incident of violence on Kashmiri dry-fruit sellers.
An advisory has also been sent today to all States and UTs to ensure safety of Kashmiris in their respective States or jurisdiction.
The Home Ministry in its latest advisory refers to earlier one issued on February 16 in view of some students and residents of Jammu and Kashmir experiencing intimidation and harassment, the MHA has asked the States and Union Territory police authorities to take strict action against the offenders as per law.
