Crude palm oil futures remain weak on muted demand

NEW DELHI, Apr 18: Crude palm oil prices eased by 0.05 per cent to Rs 638.80 per 10 kg in futures trade today as speculators engaged in reducing bets, taking negative cues from the spot market on lower demand.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, crude palm oil for delivery in April edged down by 30 paise, or 0.05 per cent, to Rs 638.80 per 10 kg in a business turnover of 7 lots.

On similar lines, the oil for delivery in May weakened by 20 paise, or 0.03 per cent, to Rs 644 per 10 kg in 13 lots.

Analysts said, cutting down of positions by traders owing to tepid demand in the physical markets against sufficient stocks position, kept crude palm oil prices weak at futures trade. (PTI)
