POONCH, July 22: Mendhar XI defeated Singh Warriors XI by 4 wickets in the ongoing Teniss Cricket Night Tournament at Boys Higher Secondary School (BHSS), here today.
Earlier, Singh Warriors XI set a target of 88 runs in the allotted 10 overs for the loss of 5wickets.
Chasing the target of 89 runs, Mendhar XI players showed application and won the match convincingly by 4 wickets.
Sheikh Sajjad Hussain, Chairman Kehkashan Cultural Organisation, Poonch J&K and cultural activist was the chief guest on the occasion.
Prominent among others present on the occasion were Rajinder Singh, Pawan Sharma, Imtiaz Ahmed, Naveed Wasal, Waheed Ahmed, Arshad Chowdhary, Matinder Pal Singh and Rajinder Singh.
The matches are being officiated by Imran, Gurmeet Singh, Ankush Sharma, Iftikhar Bhatti, Navjot Singh, Manik Bharghav, Sukhpreet Singh, Zaffar Shah and Imran Khan.
The tournament is being organised under the banner of Ehsaas Foundation. Parvez Malik, Chairman of the Foundation and Gurvinder Singh, Secretary was overall In- charge of the tournament.
