Members of Teachers Federation call on Altaf Bukhari

JAMMU, Feb 19: A delegation of Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh Teachers Federation called on new Education Minister Altaf Bukhari and discussed with him education scenario in the State and also issues of the teaching fraternity.
The Federation members apprised the Education Minister of their long pending and genuine demands for seeking early action on the same. They also extended their all possible cooperation to the Education Department for upliftment of academic standard of Government schools in the State.
Altaf Bukhari gave a patient hearing to the delegation and said that there would be no negative approach towards the teaching fraternity, who are backbone of the Education Department. He also assured positive response on all their issues.
The Federation delegation, headed by president Mohan Singh and working president Maheshwar Prasad, comprised of Hari Chand, Dev Raj Thakur, Jeeva Kant, Parshotam Sharma, Sanjay Sharma, Raja Mohd Ameen Khan, Suresh Sawhney, Parshotam Singh, Dharminder Singh and others.
