Members raise issues of public importance in LC

JAMMU, Jan 12: Members of Upper House raised various issues of public importance here today.
As the House met for today’s business, Legislator Ajat Shatru Singh expressed concern over US advisory to its citizens against visiting J&K as reported in a section of press. He urged the J&K Government to take serious notice of the development as it can be a setback to the State’s tourism industry.
Legislator Naresh Kumar Gupta drew the attention of the Government towards shortage of transport facility in Bhaderwah area. He urged the concerned Ministry to take steps to redress the problem by deploying adequate passenger vehicles on different routes of the area.
Surinder Kumar Choudhary demanded augmentation of water supply in Nowshera area. He called for replenishment of natural sources and renovation of the Water Supply Schemes.
Legislator G L Raina urged the Government to take steps to help the people in the process of linkage of services with Aadhar card as they are facing problem in this regard.
