Mehbooba visits martyred SHO’s family

SRINAGAR, June 19: Chief Minister, Mehbooba Mufti today visited the family of martyred SHO, Feroz Ahmad Dar at Sangam to personally extend her sympathies to the bereaved family.
The Chief Minister spent time with the parents, wife and two kids of the martyr and shared their grief.
Mehbooba Mufti directed the concerned authorities to complete the case of compassionate appointment in favour of the next of kin of the martyr in the shortest possible time.
The Chief Minister also assured the family to look into the demand of restructuring of the housing loan which the deceased had taken for construction of his house.
Vice President, PDP; Mohammad Sartaj Madni; Vice Chairman, Khadi & Village Industries Board, Peerzada Mansoor  Hussain; senior officers of civil administration and Police accompanied the Chief Minister.

Meanwhile, senior police officers visited the residence of Constable Tasweer Ahmad Dar who was killed in Achabal attack along with five other cops at Chadoora area of Budgam district in central Kashmir.
A police spokesman said that Additional Director General of Police Headquarters (PHQ), VK Singh, accompanied by DIG Central Kashmir, Ghulam Hassan Bhat, SSP Budgam Tejinder Singh and SHO Chadoora Inspector Mohammad Rouf Bazaz visited the residence of Tasweer Ahmad Dar at Sursyar village in Chadoora.
“The constable was the only son of his parents and lone bread earner of his family consisting of old age parents, his wife and two daughters aged eight and five years, besides his sister,” said the spokesman.
Expressing his deepest sympathies and heartfelt condolences on behalf of all ranks of Jammu and Kashmir Police, ADGP Headquarters assured the bereaved family to facilitate all financial assistance including ex-gratia due to the Next of Kins at the earliest. He assured all help for education of the children and processing of compassionate appointment case.
Meanwhile, in order to mourn the death of their colleagues, who sacrificed their lives in the line of duty and to pay them homage, a condolence assembly of trainees and staff members of Sher-i-Kashmir Police Academy Udhampur was held and two  minute silence observed as a mark of respect and tribute to the cops killed in Achabal.
In his condolence address, the Director prayed for the eternal peace of the martyr and courage to the bereaved families. “He condemned the cowardly act of the terrorists and said that the martyrdom of brave hearts will strengthen our resolve to fight against terrorism and bring complete peace in the State,” the spokesman added.
