Mega show marks culmination of talent workshop by Jackson Institute

Jammu, July 14: A talent workshop by the Jackson Institute of Dance, Modeling, Yoga and Personality Develo-pment, concluded here today with an impressive valedictory function at Abhinav Theatre.
Children from different age groups, who took part in the 45-day long workshop, displayed their talent and presented various song and dance items on the occasion.
Kavinder Gupta, Speaker Legislative Assembly, was chief guest on the occasion while prominent stage artist, comedian and actor, Vidya Bhushan was the guest of honour. Arvinder Singh Aman, Additional Secretary J&K Academy of Art, Culture and Languages, Anjana Mishra, actress and Saroj Bhardwaj, writer, were the special guests on the occasion. Aman Hans, a local ex student of the Jackson Institute, who was second Runner up in Mr India contest, also graced the occasion.
The colourful programme began with Saraswati Vandhana by the children and lighting of ceremonial lamp by the chief guest and others.
Around 50 children of different age groups, including kids of 3-5 years, presented solo and group dance items, which were highly appreciated by the audience by repeated applause. Dogri dance items mesmerized the audience, who included parents and others.
The performances of children were directed by J R Sharma Jackson, Ramesh Parwana, Poonam Sharma and Pratiksha.
Speaking on the occasion, Kavinder Gupta said that such participation in such training workshops helps school going children to sharpen their natural talent, which ultimately helps them in personality development.
J R Sharma, popularly known as Jackson and Director of the Jackson Institute, Main Chowk Janipur Jammu, threw light on the range of activities undertaken during the workshop and trainings being imparted by the institute for enhancement of natural talent among the children.
Poonam Sharma presented vote of thanks while Rajni Sharma anchored the programme.
On the conclusion of cultural items, certificates, medals and mementoes were distributed among the participants.
