MEF highlights demands

JAMMU, July 30: Jammu and Kashmir Medical Employees Federation (MEF) held a meeting under the chairmanship of its president Sushil Sudan and highlighted various demands.
While speaking, Sudan said that the post of Director Family Welfare is lying vacant for the past 7 months and employees are without salary for the past couple of months. He demanded immediate filling up of the said post.
He said that the non-availability of funds under 2211-FW is a big problem. The employees under the scheme are not getting their salary regularly.
Salary of the employees should be released before Eid-ul-Fitr and some concrete steps for allocation of funds should be taken once for all so that the employees do not suffer, he demanded.
He informed that after 2009 no DPC meeting has been held till date with the result the employees are stagnant on one post and higher promotional post are lying vacant for years together.
Among others present were Vinod Kumar Sharma, secretary general, Kamaljeet Sawhney, Jamail Singh, CL Koul, Anil Kesar, Reham Din, Kulmeet Singh, RP Singh, etc.
