Medical employees highlight demands

UDHAMPUR, Feb 25: A meeting of Jammu and Kashmir Medical Employees Federation (JKMEF) was held today here at CMO complex, wherein the speakers highlighted the demands of the employees.
The meeting, which was chaired by president, JKMEF, Sushil Sudan, highlighted various demands of the employees, which included immediate clearance of DPC of various categories at par with employees of Medical College and Drug & Food Control Organization, filling up of vacant posts in Health and Family Welfare Department strictly as per seniority, creation of posts of District Pharmacy Officers and Block Pharmacy Officers besides Section Officers in all the CMO offices and posts of Head Assistants at Block level, and enhancement of FTA in favour of Basic Health Workers from Rs 45 to Rs 1000 per month.
The Federation also demanded risk allowance for Health Department employees, regularization of daily rated workers, two and half day extra pay in favour of non-gazetted employees, bringing pay scale of CHOs at par with Central grades, filling up of posts of CHOs in all PHCs and permanent solution of Salary Head 2211-Family Welfare as the salary of the employees working under 2211 head are pending for more than six months, framing of policy for regularization of employees engaged under MHM/NCD/HDF/IDSP besides enhancement of their remuneration and monetary benefits to recently regularized employees from the date they were appointed.
The meeting was also chaired by Vinod Kumar Sharma, secretary general of the Federation and Deeraj Kumar, district president, Udhampur.
