Medical Employees Federation stages dharna

RAJOURI, Apr 23:  Highlighting its long pending demands, Jammu and Kashmir Medical Employees Federation organized a day long dharna at CMO office, here today.
Led by the Federation president Sushil Sudan, the protesting employees raised slogans in support of their demands and submitted a memorandum to CMO Rajouri.
In the memorandum, the Federation highlighted the demands, such as immediate clearance of DPC of various categories, filling up of vacant posts in Health and Family Welfare Department strictly as per seniority, creation of new posts, enhancement of FTA in favour of Basic Health Workers, risk allowance to Health Department employees, regularization of  daily rated workers, two and half day extra pay in favour of non-gazetted employees.
The Federation also demanded  release of salary of  Family Welfare employees working under new pension scheme and consolidated Safaiwalas, who are without wages for the last several months.
The dharna was addressed by Sushil Sudan, Vinod Kumar Sharma, Farooq Mirza, Adarsh Sharma, Majid Lone and others.
