JAMMU, Dec 2: Media-XI Cricket Club Jammu registered win over Game Changer Cricket Club (GCCC), RS Pura by 18 runs in an exciting friendly match at GGM Science College Hostel Ground, here today.
Electing to bat first after winning the toss, Media-XI CC made 148 runs for the loss of six wickets in the allotted 20 overs. Sunil Bali top scored with 52 runs off 49 balls, while Amit Kumar scored 32 runs off 28 balls.
For GCCC side, Ankush scalped 2 wickets, while Gourav, Ravi, Vicky and Mukesh Sharma took one wicket each.
In reply, the players of GCCC bundled out at 130 runs. Gourav scored 32 runs in 33 balls, while Ankush made 22 runs in 20 balls.
For Media-XI CC, Rahul Khatri scalped 4 wickets, while Des Raj took 2 wickets. Ashu Kumar, Amit Sudan, Jagdeep Singh and Yash Khajuria claimed one wicket each in their 4 overs spell.
On the valedictory function, SDPO South Jammu Muhammad Rafiq Manhas was the chief guest, who awarded the winner and runners-up teams in presence of Joint Secretary, Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association (JKCA) Desh Rattan Dubey, who was the guest of honour.
Best Batsman award was presented to Sunil Bali, Best Bowler award to Rahul Khatri and Best Fielder award to Asif. Individual trophies were presented to the players of both the teams.
