NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi today thanked media for converting “their pens into brooms” by giving wide coverage to his ‘Swacch Bharat’ campaign and said he had met several columnists, who had never written about sanitation but were now writing about it. “You have now converted your pens into brooms,” he told reporters at his first media outreach on Diwali at the BJP headquarters here.
“In the last one month, I have read several articles on “Swachta” (cleanliness)and a lot was being discussed in social media too.
He expressed happiness that media highlighted how individuals could make a change in bringing about a cleaner India.
