JAMMU, Jan 20: All Medical (Mech) daily wagers/ casual labours and other workers who are on strike/ Kam Chhor Hartal for the last 127days, today suspended their agitation.
A spokesman of the organization, Kushal Sharma (gen secy) said that in view of the declaration of Finance Minister to frame a policy for the regularization of all the 61,000 daily rated/ casual/ need based workers in the State in near future , the workers body after meeting today decided to suspend agitation and resume their work. They also expressed gratitude to the Chief Minister, Dy Chief Minister and the Finance Minister for understanding the sufferings of this poor class. They said workers have high hopes from the Government.
The meeting was attended by Puneet Sharma president, Akhil Sharma, Kushal, Vinod, Vipin Kumar, Mohd Sadiq, Yashpal, Shamasdin, Suriti Kumar, Joginder Singh, Rahul and Arjun.
