JAMMU, July 13: Condemning terror attack on Amarnath pilgrims, Syed Shabir Ahmed Shah, president of Muslim Development Front (MDF) J&K, has demanded a high level judicial inquiry to probe the alleged conspiracy for causing harm to the secular fabric of the J&K State in particular and of India in general by triggering communal tension here.
Addressing a press conference along with civil society and representatives of different social organizations, he strongly condemned the dastardly terrorist attack resulting in killing of 7 innocent Shri Amarnath pilgrims and injuring several others at Batingoo in Anantnag Kashmir on July 10.
“Those who have committed the heinous crime of massacring innocent women devotees are hardcore criminals and have no religion. They should not go scot-free,” he said and added that if the State Government and security forces were constantly getting inputs regarding conspiracy of terrorist attack on Yatries, there should have been no security lapses.
He appreciated the right thinking people of all political parties and social organization who foiled the nefarious designs of terrorist and their mentors of triggering communal trouble in J&K and across India.
“The people of Jammu & Kashmir have full sympathy with the bereaved families and we pray for eternal peace to departed souls in this incident and wish early recovery of injured victims,” he said.
