JAMMU, Nov 4: Morning Cricket Club (MCC) trounced Media-XI Cricket Club (Media-XI CC) in a thrilling contest by one wicket in an Exhibition Match played at Maulana Azad Stadium, here today.
After winning the toss, Media-XI CC skipper, Mir Imran elected to bat first and scored 110 runs in the allotted 20 overs, losing 6 wickets in the process.
In total of 110 runs, Ranjeet Singh top scored with 41 runs off 30 balls, while Nitin Kanotra scored 14 runs off 19 balls.
For MCC, Kuldeep Dalotra took 3 wickets, while Akash Bhogal and Amit Sharma claimed 2 wickets each.
MCC led by skipper Rohan Duggal chasing a target of 110 runs, won the match in 18th over of the match but in course lost nine wickets.
Amit Sharma of MCC helped his team in winning the match by contributing 32 runs in 25 balls, while as Abhay Sharma scored 13 runs off 19 balls.
Amit Sudan of Media-XI took 2 wickets, while as Ashu Kumar, Jagdeep Singh, Faheem Tak, and Vivek Suri shared 1 wicket each.
Amit Sharma of the winning team was adjudged as ‘Man of the Match’ for his performance of contributing 32 runs and taking 2 wickets.
