DODA, July 10: Masood Cricket Club Bhaderwah crushed Ascot Cricket Academy Jharkhand by 67 runs and sailed in the quarterfinal round of the ongoing All India 13th Gufran Memorial T20 Cricket Championship 2017, being played at Sports Stadium Doda.
The tournament is being organized by Young Star Cricket Club Doda and sponsored by Rashtriya Rifles Unit Doda.
Batting first, Masood Cricket Club Bhaderwah made 183 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in alloted 18 overs. Rahul Sharma played a splendid inning of 53 runs for his team, while Abid Rather made 40 runs. From ACA Jharkhand side, Imran Ansari took 2 wickets while Pintu, Tahir and Sunny shared 1 wicket each.
In the second inning, ACA Jharkhand team could not chase the given target and score only 116 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in 18 overs. Imran Ansari was the top scorer with 48 runs, while Santosh made 14 runs.
From MCC Bhaderwah, Shafqat and Mohsin Najar shared 3 wickets each, while Abid Rather took 2 wickets.
Later on Abid Rather of Masood Cricket Club Bhaderwah was adjudged as Man of the Match for his best all round performance who was given prize by Chief Guest Sr Advisor YSCC Doda Dr Tariq Masood.
The match was officiated by Munish Zutshi and Ifroz Rather as Umpires, while Milind Gore maintained the scorecard.
