Mayor JMC takes stock of people’s problems

JAMMU, Mar 12: The Mayor, Jammu Municipal Corporation, Chander Mohan Gupta today visited various areas of Ward 74 and took stock of the people’s problems.
The Mayor met residents of the localities and listened to grievances raised by them regarding, construction of drains and lanes, improvement of sanitation, non functioning of street lights, renovation of parks and menace of stray dogs.
Mayor directed the concerned officers to resolve the grievances of people at the earliest and asked the residents to cooperate with Municipal staff and do not throw garbage in the lanes and drains, in the open area and in the parks which further worsens the sanitation conditions. The main issues which were raised by the locals include black topping of link roads, prevailing sanitation condition, problems related to water and re-modeling of lanes and drains.
While addressing the residents of the Ward 74 in different localities, Mayor said that the Government is committed to holistic development of the city and making rural areas as urban with the provision of all modern amenities and facilities for the residents.
Corporator Shobit Ali along with Bisham Singh, Niku Malik, Zulafqar Ali, Govind Singh Boloria, Pardeep Singh Manhas, Satpaul Choudhary, Jan Mohd, Subash Kumar, Raj Mohd, Meshu Master, Rakesh Kumar, Khadeem Hussain, Dr Hardesh Kumar, Gagandeep Singh, Sandeep Pawer, Mohd Sadeeq, Shahid beside others were present on the occasion.
