Massive searches in 3 places

JAMMU, Jan 24: Security forces have launched intense search operation from Budhal to Chasana (Rajouri to Reasi) districts after a local boy claimed that some suspects had boarded his car and left later while another search operation is being conducted at Chunga, Mendhar in Poonch district on suspicious movement. Searches were also conducted in Ramgarh sector of Samba district.
Reports said security forces and police conducted joint search operation from Budhal to Chasana, the villages connecting Rajouri and Poonch districts, after a boy reported this morning that some suspects had boarded his car and left the vehicle at village Kunderdan.
The security forces and police teams conducted massive searches all along the villages but there was no trace of militants, reports said, adding the searches continued till late tonight but there were no arrests.
“Though it could be a hoax but we are not taking any chances,” police said.
Security forces and police also launched searches at village Chunga in Mendhar area of Poonch district after some villagers claimed that they had spotted movement of militants.
However, the search operation was called off tonight with no trace of any militants, reports said.
At village Mehrajpur in Ramgarh sector of Samba district, two women sounded Army about suspicious movement of three persons. Army and police conducted searches but no suspicious persons were traced. Police parties in the searches were led by Additional SP Samba Faisal Qureshi and SDPO Vijaypur S S Samyal.
