Martyr Tushar remembered on 27th birth anniversary

UDHAMPUR, Apr 20: To remember the supreme sacrifice made by Captain Tushar Mahajan of the Army’s 9 Para Special Forces, who laid down his life while fighting with terrorists at Pampore area of Kashmir in February this year, Little Flower Convent School Udhampur and newly created Tushar Fan Club paid rich tribute to the martyr on his 27 birth anniversary today.
In this connection, a function was organized at Little Flower Convent School wherein local MLA Pawan Gupta was the chief guest. The MLA honoured parents of Tushar Mahajan and said that the nation cannot forget supreme sacrifice of the martyr.
Shewatketu Singh, a friend of the martyr and member of the Tushar Fan Club Udhampur, reiterated the demand of naming Udhampur Railway Station after the name of Capt Tushar Mahajan. He said that they have already sent a memorandum in this regard to the Defence Minister and Railway Minister. Fulfillment of the said demand would be one of the befitting tributes to the national hero and martyr who laid down his life at a very young age, he added.
On the occasion, an athletic meet was also held in which students took part. The martyr was an alumni of the Little Flower Convent School.
