SRINAGAR, May 11: The bodies of the two boys who drowned in Hokersar stream in Narabal on Saturday were retrieved today with the help of Marcos divers of Indian Navy.
Two boys identified as Shahrukh Bhatt, 15, and Irfan Syed of Chatabal drowned into Hokersar lake after they bunked school and went to bath in the stream.
A police spokesman said River Police Marine Commandos (Marcos) of Indian Navy retrieved body of Irfan Syed at 11 p.m. on Saturday night, while the body of Bhatt as fished out this afternoon.
Inspector General of Police, Kashmir, Abdul Gani Mir has expressed his gratitude and appreciated the Marcos in the recovery of the bodies.
