JAMMU, Sept 17: State president BJP SC Morcha and MLA Samba, Dr. Devinder Kumar Manyal today distributed 170 authority letters with amount of Rs. 50,000 as Ist installment to the beneficiaries under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) scheme in Block Purmandal, Nud and Sumb in Samba constituency.
In Block Samba, 16 cheques were distributed with amount of Rs. 25000 to the beneficiaries under IAY schemes as 2nd and 3rd installment.
Manyal, while speaking on the occasion, said that the Samba constituency houses a large population of such people who are very poor and identified under BPL category. In these days of price rise these people cannot arrange even two-time meal for their families and manage other minimum needs. None of them can dream of constructing a new house or furnish it with comfortable gadgets, he added.
In block, Nud people expressed gratitude to MLA for the special package of PMAY cases among the deserving families. They also raised a demand for black topping of Shah Balore to Chilla Dangha road.
MLA shared that the said road will be black topped with in months.
MLA asked the beneficiaries to make judicious use of the funds distributed among them and pay attention on the material quality. The money will directly transferred to their account, he added.
Officers of the concerned departments such as BDOs and a large number of people of the area were also present on the occasion.
