JAMMU, Jan 9: There are many layers of issues associated with what has happened to the Kashmiri Pandits and what is continually happening to them.
This was stated by Lakshmi Kaul, Founder and Executive Member, Kashmiri Pandits, Cultural Society, (KPCS) London during a felicitation function, organized by Kashmiri Pandits stationed at Jammu, to honour her for her distinction of highlighting the problems of Kashmiri Pandits globally.
Expressing that she always believed that there is enough work to be taken up with sincerity, Kaul said that the State of Jammu & Kashmir is unique as it is the very epitome of diversity and has to be taken in unison which is the motif of unity in diversity.
She further said if each of us harbours an ambition to stand on his/her own feet without burdening the country, we would be even more enterprising and take the country to greater heights of success.
She thanked the people of Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh for helping her to create the charisma of the State on international horizon.
Congratulating Lakshmi Kaul, for giving the representative character to the Kashmiri Pandits living in UK, Pt Moti Kaul, State Vice President BJP, who was presiding over the function said that Lakshmi Kaul has been exploiting all her capabilities for the betterment of the community in various spheres of life in UK as well as in India.
Appreciating her sincere and ceaseless efforts, Kaul recalled her recent move of organizing   Jammu Kashmir Festival in UK which has become instrumental in boosting the morale of the community youth in particular and the young talent of State in general.
Swami Kumar Ji, Prof AN Sadhu, eminent Educationist and Social Activist and Dr RL Bhat, President Sampriti lauded Lakshmi Kaul’s work and effort and said that despite facing hardships by living in exile for last 26 years the young generations has succeeded in keeping their culture alive and Lakshmi Kaul has set an example.
Earlier, Pradip Kaul Khodbali, poet and critic, introduced Lakshmi Kaul to the audience and spoke on her contribution to the community cause at length.
The programme was conducted by well known artist Kusum Tickoo, while the vote of thanks was presented by Aryan Ramesh.
Prominent among others present on the occasion were Ravinder Raina, President ASKPC, AK Raina, Vice president AIKS, MK Yogi, Sanjay Saraf and DN Bhat.
