Mankotia for clubbing of Bhamag panchayats with Udhampur constituency

REASI, June 24: Raising the plights of people belonging to far flung area of Bhamag panchayats, Panther Party’s State president and former MLA Balwant Singh Mankotia blamed the successive regimes of State for their continuous neglect of these hilly areas in every sphere of life.
He demanded that State Government should club all panchayats of Bhamag areas of Reasi with Udhampur constituency for their holistic development.
Concluding his two-day tour of Bhamag area, Mankotia addressed a series of public meetings at different panchayats. He also paid obeisance at the Jagran organized by the local people at Gabbar village of Saadi panchayat.
Mankotia on second day inaugurated the yatri shed at Jadsar Kot during a local mela being a chief guest. He has provided funds from his own pocket for construction of this yatri shed which was long pending demand of the people.
Continuing the campaign started under ‘Haq-insaaf’ yatra, Mankotia reiterated the demand of separate Jammu State and appealed the State Government to club the all panchayats of Bhamag with Udhampur constituency for holistic development of this hilly and far flung area. He also raised the concern about dilapidated condition of the Kaith Gali road and asked the Government and district administration to macadamize the road.
Being a hilly area and have capacity of eco-tourism, Mankotia demanded that Jadsar Kot area should be brought on tourist map as participation of people in Jadsar Kot mela is increasing every year and due to lack of basic amenities, people and visitors are facing hardships and once brought under tourist map, this area will get boost of development activities.
