Mankotia demands one nation, one flag

JAMMU, Oct 11: Raising the issue of two flags in State, ex-MLA and NPP president Balwant Singh Mankotia reiterated that one nation, one tricolour from Kashmir to Kanayakumari dream should be fulfilled by the Central Government. People of the State have long cherished demand to have one flag like other parts of the country and did not need separate flag.
Tiranga rally started on the occasion of accession day reached Udhampur constituency today where people warmly welcomed the NPP president Balwant Singh Mankotia leading the Tiranga rally. The Tiranga rally which started from Salathia Chowk passed through different bazaars and reached Dabbar Chowk of Udhampur.
While addressing the gathering at Dabbar Chowk, Balwant Singh Mankotia said that party has started Tiranga rally on the occasion of accession day from 8th to 27th October which has covered Samba and Reasi district of Jammu region. On the concluding day of Tiranga rally on 27th October accession day, a large rally would be organized at Jammu.
Mankotia said that the purpose of the yatra is to give message of one India from Kashmir to Kanayakumari to every house and also send a message to Central Government that people of Jammu and Kashmir didn’t want to live in the shadow of two flags and want only to live under Tricolour which is the flag of the nation.
On this occasion Dhani Ram Attri, Sanjeet Sharma, Amarnath Maira, Jagdev Jagga, Sunil Gudda, Sanjay Sharma, Tiranter Singh, Hoshiar Singh, Revat Singh, Ganesh Sharma, Subhash Singh, Vijay Kumar, Mohammad Mirza and Lalali Kumar, Balbir Singh were also present.
