Mankotia cautions NGT not to interfere in religious affairs

UDHAMPUR, Dec 15:  The activists of J&K National Panthers Party held strong protest demonstration against the decision of the  National Green Tribunal,  with regard to banning recitation of Vedic mantras at Shri Amarnathji Shrine.
A large number of party activists led by state president and former MLA Balwant Singh Mankotia assembled at Dhar road near DC office  and held strong protest demonstration, describing the decision as attack on the religious sentiments of the Hindus.
Taking serious note of the suggestions made on Shri Amarnath pilgrimage,  Mankotia cautioned the National Green Tribunal not to interfere in the religious affairs of Hindus in the country and warned not to hurt the religious sentiments on the name of environment.
NPP workers lodged strong protest by blocking the busy Dhar road and raised slogans against NGT for its recommendations on annual Amarnath yatra. Ex-MLA while addressing the protesters warned the NGT not to interfere in the religious affairs of Hindus and by such recommendations large number of people of State may lost employment.
Criticizing the recommendations made by NGT on chanting of slogans, Vedic mantras and other religious rituals, NPP president  termed it as unfortunate and warned NPP will not allow to implement such recommendations. Hindus of the country don’t need certificate and directions from the NGT by which way how a devotee can pay obeisance at revered shrines and temples,  Mankotia said.
He claimed that every individual has constitutional right to perform religious rituals in the country. Devotees visiting the Amarnath shrine to pay obeisance from centuries are performing religious rituals according to the Hindu belief and early no one raised any objection on such religious affairs. Some forced inimical are trying to vitiate the atmosphere in the State and country.
NPP  president warned the NGT that in future any such decision would be taken may lost faith the judicial system of the country.  He also criticized the decision of the NGT to ban the plying of mule operators on Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine track which has forced thousands of youth  to lose their employment.
