Mankotia asks Farooq to re-read J&K history

HIRANAGAR, Apr 9: Reacting sharply to the statement of NC patron, Dr Farooq Abdullah former MLA and NPP State president, Balwant Singh Mankotia asked him to re-read history and reminded him that Jammu and Kashmir State has been creation of the Dogra rulers.
He reiterated that formation of separate Jammu State is need of the hour to end continuous discrimination with the people of Jammu region and NPP has launched the movement and take it to its logical conclusion.
Leading the Panchayat Chalo Abhiyan launched by party on the Ist March, Balwant Singh Mankotia addressed series of street rallies at village Ghagwal, Sajhi Morh, Haripur, Chak Mathura of Hiranagar Constituency.
While addressing the rallies, Mankotia made a scathing attack on NC patron Dr Farooq Abdullah for his statement on the issue of separate Jammu State demand. He asked former Chief Minister, Dr Abdullah to learn history of Jammu and Kashmir and reminded him that Jammu and Kashmir is the creation of Dogra rulers.
He reminded that Maharaja Gulab Singh purchased the Jammu and Kashmir State for 75 lacks from British and Kashmiri leaders have forcefully occupied the State and NPP would vacate the same from Kashmiri rulers.
Mankotia warned Abdullah and asked him to tender an apology from the party otherwise NPP would launch an agitation against him. It is pertinent to mention here that Dr Farooq Abdullah opposed the separate Jammu State demand during a rally at Poonch and termed that J&K is not a personal property.
NPP State president, Balwant Singh Mankotia during his tour of Hirangar Constituency met with agitating women at Koota More and assured full support of the party. He further reiterated that Dogra people would get right and justice only after the formation of separate Jammu State and reaffirmed that NPP would provide justice to the people of Jammu region and appealed to support the Panther party.
On this occasion district president Robin Sharma, Ram Saran, Adv. Choudhary Sohan Singh, Manoj Gupta, Satish Sharma, Jagdish Chander etc also addressed the gathering.
