Manju Singh visits Mansar villages, interacts with people

JAMMU, Sept 21: To apprise the people of various steps taken by the local MP for the development of his Constituency and public welfare, Manju Singh, wife of Union Minister of State in PMO, Dr Jitendra Singh today visited Mansar and adjoining villages and interacted with the people there.
Mrs Singh, who besides Mansar visited Channi, Patti and other adjoining villages addressed the public meetings. She interacted with women folk also and listened their day to day problems.
She informed the people that Dr Jitendra Singh is in constant touch with the people of his Constituency especially those living in remote and far of areas. She made it clear that she has no intension of joining politics but as a social activist she wanted to work amidst the people and act as a bridge between them and their representative so that the problems being faced by the people get highlighted and redressed also.
Mrs Manju Singh, while highlighting the welfare schemes under taken by MP in Kathua-Udhampur-Doda Lok Sabha Constituency said the Saddal and Panjar villages in Udhampur district which suffered heavy damage during last year’s flash floods and land slides have been developed as a smart village by the efforts of the MP with the help of a NGO.
She said this will be the unique smart village of the country having all facilities including schooling, hospital, etc.
Besides, weather forecasting mechanism was installed at Sanji Chatt Katra and a war memorial will be constructed at Reasi and Hiranagar. She said construction of inter -state Krindya -Gandyal bridge and bio -technology park in Kathua on which work has started, sanction 80 kanals of land for border migrants at Hiranagar, Dreamland Park at Kathua, plantation of Aromatic and medicinal plants in Basohli area for boosting the economy of people, adaptation of four villages in the constituency for development etc are some of the projects taken in hand by MP.
She appealed the social activists to come forward and apprise the  people about the benefits of the welfare schemes like Beti Bachao -Beti Padao Yojna, Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, Atal Pension Yojna and other welfare schemes meant for public welfare and prosperity.
Bishan Dass Mandal President BJP and its general secretary Gopal Singh also addressed these meetings. Manju Singh was accompanied by Bharat Sharma and Narinder Sharma BJYM leaders.
