JAMMU, Jan 30: Member Parliament (MP) Rajya Sabha, Shamsher Singh Manhas, today kick started development work of nearly Rs 7 lakh in Ward numbers 59 and 60 in Paloura and adjoining areas.
The MP kick started the construction work of protection wall near a Mandir at Mahasha Mohalla of Ward no 59 in Paloura area. People of the locality were demanding requisite funds for protection wall and the MP provided funds of Rs 5.65 lakh from his MPLAD fund for the construction of wall.
Manhas also started work of laying tiles in a lane at Ward No 60 of Paloura area which also connects the other areas of this ward. The tile work would be executed with an estimated cost of Rs 1.37 lakh, which the MP provided from his MPLAD fund.
While starting the tile laying work at Ward No 60, Manhas said his doors are opened for aggrieved people and he tries his best to meet out the problems being faced by the general public. Manhas said that he has provided adequate funds for many development works in Jammu province for the holistic development of the State. He said that all these development works would be carried out by Jammu Municipal Corporation in stipulated time.
He reiterated that BJP is committed to fulfill its promises regarding better civic facilities to general public. Manhas said that Central Government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi is providing liberal funding for the development of State.
On this occasion, XEn JMC, Parmod Sharma, AEE Pathania, JE Arora, Joginder Singh Chib, Ashok Singh, Satish Kumar, Sunny Jamwal and other prominent people of the two wards were present.
