Management fest Tatva 2K17 concludes at SMVDU

KATRA, Jan 29: The Management Festival, Tatva 2k17- organized by Faculty of Management, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University (SMVDU), concluded with the valedictory ceremony wherein Kavinder Gupta, Speaker of the J&K Legislative Assembly was the chief guest and he distributed prizes.
Dr Sanjeev Jain, Vice Chancellor of the University, Prof D Mukhopadhyay, Dean Faculty of Management, heads and Dr Saurabh, faculty coordinator of the event, were present on the occasion.
The SMVDU TBIC sponsored Trade Fair attracted crowd from all the areas. The innovative stalls exhibited their entrepreneurial skills and innovation.
The management conclave in the fest based on the theme of ‘VUCA World- Sustainable solutions’ was addressed by  panellists Rakesh Shalla (Vodafone CEO, J&K Circle),  Sahil Sharma (Demand Manager OYO rooms),  Sanjeev Gupta, Director, Chetna Organisation, Prof  Mukhopadhaya (Dean, Faculty of Management), Prof  Ashutosh Vashishtha (Director of Business School) and   Rakesh Shalla.
The addressed the audience by asking them to “train yourself by a training called life” and further explained VUCA as a reflection of what one’s life is and how one can excel in life by grabbing the VUCA moment at the right point of time.
The participants, from various institutions such as TBS, Jammu University; SPMR College of Commerce, Central University Jammu, MIET, etc took part  in various competitive events like Ad-mania, Welcome to Hell, Future CEO, Pro Curious, Empresario, Treasure Hunt, and other events.
The prizes were won by SMVD University in the events Jingle Making, Pro-Curious, JAM and Stroke of Genius; SPMR Commerce College in Empresario.  MIET grabbed three trophies in Funk from junk, Ad-Mania and Future CEO; SPMR and GCET shared the trophy in Welcome to hell.
In the valedictory ceremony the winners of “Tatva 2k17” were honoured with certificates and trophies.
In his valedictory address, Kavinder Gupta asked the students to manage and serve India by saying that we need to see that what we can offer to the country.
Prof Sanjeev Jain, Vice Chancellor, said that learning is both blend of understanding the theories and exposure to practical situations and experiences. He asked students to sharpen their minds in such a way so that they could cope better in this VUCA world and succeed in their life.
