SRINAGAR: Unidentified gunmen shot at and wounded a person in Shopian district of south Kashmir, where attack on politicians, policemen and civilians has witnessed spurt during the past one week.
Official sources said that gunmen fired upon one Mohammad Maqbool Bhat at village Batamaidan in Shopian Monday evening. The gunmen later managed to escape under the cover of darkness before the security forces could reach the spot.
The injured was admitted to District Hospital, they said adding a massive hunt has been launched to nab the attackers. (AGENCIES)
