Man roaming near border held by civilians

JAMMU: A man roaming under mysterious circumstances close to Indo-Pak border was nabbed by civilians in Pargwal area here on city outskirts.

“On Friday morning an unknown person was caught while he was moving in the adjoining areas of river Chenab near IB in Pargwal area,” police here said.

They said that he was nabbed by some civilians of village Chibein De Kothey and handed over to Police.

The nabbed identified himself as Khalid Habib ur Rehman, son of Habibullah Rather, resident of Shafat House, Natipora, Srinagar.

“He revealed that he is B. Tech and was going to Pune in search of a job,” police said adding that he also disclosed that he had read an article that the land close to border in Pargwal is rich in zinc and gold following which he visited the place to collect the soil for testing.

Police said that civilians recovered Aadhar Card, Tooth Brush, small hammer, Green Tea, bank Copy from his possession.

“We are verifying the facts,” police added.
