RAJOURI, Jan 4: A villager was murdered during a group clash in Manjakote area of district Rajouri today.
A police spokesman said that incident took place at Chamba hamlet of Panjgrain village, in Gambhir area of Manjakote tehsil. Families of Mushtaq Hussain and Khalid Hussain had bloody clash over an old land dispute. Both the sides freely exchanged lathis and lethal weapons and also indulged in stoning. Mushtaq received serious head inquiries and was rushed to Rajouri hospital and later referred to GMC Hospital Jammu but he died on the way near Bhambla. His body was brought back to Manjakote hospital.
The police registered the case and started manhunt for the accused persons who are absconding.
