Man injured in leopard attack

RAJOURI, Sept 16: A villager was seriously injured after he was attacked by a leopard near his house in Swari area of Kotranka late this evening.
A police spokesman said that incident took place when one Krishan Singh, son of Keekar Singh, resident of remote Swari village was returning his home alone. He was just 100 meters away from his house when a leopard ambushed him. He raised alarm  and also waged a fight with the wild beast.   The locals rushed with `lathis’ for his help and the leopard escaped, leaving Krishan in a pool of blood and multiple injuries.
The villagers rushed him to Rajouri hospital where doctors conducted preliminary treatment and then referred him to GMC Hospital, Jammu. The villagers alleged that this  leopard has created terror in the entire area and also killed many cattle in last two months.
