DODA, Feb 22: Thathri police arrested a man and recovered 40 pouches from his possession during checking at Prem Nagar, a police official said.
The accused has been identified as Hushiyar Singh, son of Hakim Singh, a resident of village Gwari, District Doda, he said, adding that the accused was carrying the illicit liquor pouches to his native village for selling among the people for illegitimate profits.
A case under FIR Number 15/17 under Section 48-A Excise Act has been registered against the accused at police station Thathri and investigation started.
