BHADERWAH, Feb 3: Police apprehended a man and recovered large quantity of illicit liquor pouches from his possession.
As per police sources, based on reliable information, a team from Bhaderwah police station laid a naka and intercepted a person.
During checking, police recovered 52 pouches of illicit liquor from the possession of the man and arrested him on the spot.
The accused has been identified as Raj Kumar, son of Mansa Ram, a resident of Gutassa, Bhadarwah.
A case under FIR Number 8/17 under Section 48-A Excise Act has been registered at Bhaderwah police station and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Bhaderwah Inspector Jatinder Sambyal made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO Bhadarwah Sajjad Khan and Additional SP Bhadarwah Sargun Shukla.
