JAMMU, Mar 18: Police arrested a man along with illicit liquor pouches from Badyal Kazian chowk, falling under the jurisdiction of RS Pura police station.
As per police sources, based on reliable information, a police team led by SDPO RS Pura Surinder Choudhary under the supervision of SP Headquarters Jammu RC Kotwal conducted raid in Badyal Kazian Chowk and apprehended a person with 35 pouches of illicit liquor.
The accused has been identified as Rattan Lal, son of Gian Chand, a resident of Badyal Kazian.
He was carrying the illicit liquor pouches for selling among the people for illegitimate gain.
A case under Excise Act has been registered against the accused at Police Station RS Pura and investigation started.
